Cast Iron Mold
Cast Iron Mold

how to remove mold from cast iron pan?
i have 3 cast iron pans that were found with mold and mildew growing on them- are they safe to use again? And can they be properly cleaned to be used again?
Scrub the skillet thoroughly. Put some cooking oil in the pan and heat it on the stove for a long time. Not only will this kill any mildew that survived the scrubbing, it will cure the cast iron making for a better skillet.
