Pampered Chef Stoneware Deep Dish Baker Bowl?
My sister just gave this to me. It's pretty cool it looks like a clay mixing bowl. Anyone know how to cook with it? I need recipes!
The stoneware cooks just like any other dish. You can basically bake/cook anything thing in it. Keep in mind that the stone retains the heat longer than your traditional bakeware, so after you take something out of the oven, it will continue to bake/stay warm. You may need to adjust your cooking time as well, since it will take the stone a little longer to heat up.
Another note, DO NOT WASH WITH SOAP! These stones should be scraped with a nylon scraper and water as hot as you can stand. If you use soap, the stone will soak that in and the next time you use it, your food may taste like soap as well.
All Pampered Chef products come with an instruction card that usually includes some recipes. You may want to try those out as well. You can cook roasts, pasta dishes, cakes, etc in the stone. You may want to check with a local Pampered Chef Consulant for ideas. I also found a website that my give you some ideas as well.
Good luck! As a former consultant myself, I still love Pampered Chef and the stones. The food just turns out much better and it's hard to burn anything with the stones!
