Can Wilton cake pans go into the dishwasher? Do you have to grease and flour pans before putting cake mix in?

I acquired some old cake pans without instructions. Wondering if I need to use cooking spray before putting cake mix in.

I have put Wilton pans in the dishwasher before, but I usually hand wash them. As far as coating the inside goes, yes- definately do use either cooking spray or shortening and flour on the inside of a pan before putting the mix in..... especially if it's a specialty shape pan with lots of contours. Otherwise you'll ruin the cake as far as decorating goes. Check www.wilton.com if you need general instructions on what to do with your pans and how to be really creative.
